Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos
Robots aren't as good at removing particles like screws made of metal or pasta pieces. However, they are great at sweeping dust, pet hair, and food particles. The best models feature intelligent navigation and object avoidance capabilities that help them maneuver around toys, cords and other obstacles in the household.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a fantastic robot vacuum with a number of smart features that make it easier to maintain than other models. The
automatic floor vacuum bin emptying feature is one of the most impressive features we've seen in a robot vacuum. It's great on carpets as well as hard floors. The app guides you through the entire process. It is also easy to use and set up. Its ability to resumptuate where it left off in our tests is another impressive feature. It was able to do this for 77 minutes on one cleaning, before the battery died.
The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums that we tested has a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt compartment on its charging base once it is fully filled. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L that will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris compared to some other robovacs that we have reviewed, but it is not the
best cheap robot vacuum in cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture, despite being fairly silent. It pulled chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our bed, and also became stuck on cords and toys while testing.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
If you're looking to expand your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out with the Q5 Pro is a great choice. It packs a lot of power, advanced navigation, and handy automation into a sleek design for a reasonable price. It's the
most expensive robot vacuum affordable model for the money on the market at the moment and even beats the Roborock models that are much more expensive in many ways.
This robot is great in cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology helps it steer away from furniture legs or other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores the highest score on our navigation tests. The only issue is that it's a little noisier than many other models we test and it doesn't do as well in our owners satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.
The Q5 Pro has a very large 770ml dust bin that means you don't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is quite generous in comparison to other robots we've tested. If the battery is depleted it returns to its dock and automatically recharges before continuing cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations has helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping test. You can schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also view the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, however it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of the beginning of November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to reflect that the feature will be delayed until 2025. Several other robots don't work with HomeKit However, many of them work with Siri Shortcuts.
3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus
The Tapo RV30 Plus TP-Link robot vacuum cleaner is a fantastic option if you're looking for a machine that is able to mop and is priced reasonably. It has a wide array of features for the price and features a stylish design. You can control the device with different buttons on the device or through the app and even make use of voice commands. The device has an extended battery life and the vacuum container is automatically empty.
The TP-Link RV30 Plus is a great vacuum cleaner for standard messes. It can also be used to lightly mop on hard floors. It comes with a replacement sweeping brush and mopping cloth as well with a HEPA-filter. It can be connected to smart hubs such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to allow voice control. 4. Eufy iMop
The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is among the best full-featured robots for hard flooring. It comes with a cutting-edge mapping system that maps your home across multiple floors. And the well-designed base station nearly completely automates the cleaning process. It offers excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.
This model utilizes an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and design efficient cleaning routes. The iMop excelled in our navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations and was efficient in avoiding obstacles, including furniture. It's also able to return to the base station which is a nice feature in case it runs out of battery during cleaning.
The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a certain area on your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a specific route. This is great if you have narrow stairs or hallways. In our carpet cleaning test it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it had a difficult time to clean rugs and carpets with longer piles. It is also possible to set it to automatically raise the mop pad when it comes into contact with carpet, which is a great option if you wish to avoid mopping your carpets.
The iMop comes with an onboard dustbin as well as a water tank that is empty at the conclusion of every cleaning session. The dust bin that is onboard can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris. It should only need emptying every few cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle half a dozen mopping session before running out. The iMop requires less maintenance and cleaning than the typical robot vacuum, which could be a big selling point for busy families.
