The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal It also self-empties which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as Intelligent vacuum cleaner as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic vacuum cleaner on sale cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with various additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. perform to the standards. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums can really fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missing in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people however it will help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are some of the top available however it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's most expensive robot vacuum appealing point is how it automates various tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot vacuum price fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.

But if you want to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper, but offers more features, including stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move, however.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The most important feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it began.

The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
