The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is an excellent robot vacuum with a number of smart features that make it easier to maintain than other models. The automatic bin emptying feature is among the most convenient features we've seen on an iRobot and it's compatible with hard floors as well as carpets. The app guides you through the entire process. It's also easy to use and set up. Its ability to restart where it left off in our tests is a great feature. It was able to do this for 77 minute on one cleaning, and then the battery died.
The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums that we tested has a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on its charging base once it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L that will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
This model, like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also allows you to navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, while the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7 can also utilize its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO can't.
Although the i3+ EVO is more effective at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at however, it's not the most effective for cleaning corners and edges. It is also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly silent. It moved chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and it was stuck to cords and toys during testing.

The only snag is that it's louder than other models we test and it doesn't do similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust container of 770ml, which means that you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is quite generous in comparison to other robots we've tried. When the battery is running low, it automatically returns to its dock, where it recharges and then resumes cleaning where it was when it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro via the app and make voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is one of the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This, in conjunction with other innovations, makes it excel during our mopping and vacuuming tests. It is possible to schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also see the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. This feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in the beginning of November to reflect the fact that this feature has been delayed until 2025. This model utilizes an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home and devise efficient cleaning routes. The iMop awed us with its assessment of the effectiveness of navigation and coverage and was adept at eliminating obstacles, like furniture. It is also able to find its way to the base station if it runs out of batteries during a cleaning session.
It also comes with a spot cleaning mode that lets you to mop or clean a specific part of your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a specific path, which is useful for narrow hallways or stairs. It did a good job of cleaning carpets during our carpet cleaning evaluation, but it struggled with thicker pile carpets and rug. It is also able to automatically lift the mop pad when it comes into contact with carpet, which is a great feature if you want to avoid mopping your carpets.
