Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are ideal for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.
It is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of
robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.
The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean and is also fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a high price tag but has a variety of innovative features. It is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.
This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its
best rated robot vacuum feature was its precise floorplan, which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots struggled. It was quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or completing its task.
The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to contain multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also comes with a set of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning job or recall the
robot vacuum cleaners uk or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
