If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that hasn't yet been incorporated into your equipment, you can transfer it to another piece of gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. You can remove the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The Item upgrader Mod on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged with the glyph shards.

When you remove an item after adding a glyph the shards of that glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to provide a bonus. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at once. This is useful for players who suffer many hits from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and can be found in various ways such as in mistery boxes, as rare drops from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can be used to boost weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for upgrade options, however they are still able to be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button", you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be chosen for recycling. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it is higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon remains as is. Weapons can be rerolled up to three times.

Rerolling is a fantastic method to improve an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final level. This is evident on Rings and Diadems because they are the only options to increase the ilvl.

Leveling
