The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to improve the quality of weapons, armor and trinkets. The process is similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the appropriate currency, players must visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.
