Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient method of quickly cleaning up messes. The
best robot hoover robot vacuums and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and check on how they're up to.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're searching for the most effective robot vacuum and mop that has cutting-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end model is incredibly swift and agile it can remove debris such as pet hair and human hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It features a sleek and elegant app interface with a miniature map of your home, as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to change the cleaning mode based on the level of dirt. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
It's got a host of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your plumbing to clean and wash the mop roller without needing refilling it manually. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 you can make use of voice commands to specify rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that can also mop. It's one of the combination robot vacuums that have mops that are also offered at a lower price than the competition.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to begin, which includes creating an account on the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process can take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few tries before it gets a good picture of your space. In addition the detection of objects can be hit or miss and it was able to skirt furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel rug and had to flip itself over to free itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those looking for an all-in-one cleaning companion.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion like hand scrubbing which results in floors that are actually cleaned and not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can get to places robot vacuums cannot.
The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction power of 8,700Pa and additional features that are smart. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app lets you modify various settings such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging station at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and place debris in the self-sealing bag. This helps keep the system tidy and stops allergens from recirculating. The battery life is long enough to clean large areas without needing the battery to be charged mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the premium robot vacuum and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power as well as a rotating brush for hard and carpet floors and a great obstacle avoidance. It also features a unique mopping method which uses a rolling device that is continuously spraying with water to collect dirt and deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without crashing, and staying clear of stairs. It struggled with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating level of the sound is also quite high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as the other models.
The S1 Pro, like most
robotic hoovers vacuums, has a docking technology that allows it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dustbin, wash and dry the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with a regular schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers available, and it offers impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision, and the application lets users fine-tune the map coverage, set no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also engineered to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, which lifts these pads upward when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to prevent contamination of the carpet.
The docking station acts as an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dries the mops and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station has an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust and allows seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my home office clean. It is also able to reach all corners of my small apartment. It uses a laser mapping camera and laser to create a 3D model of your home so that it knows what to stay clear of. And, unlike many vacuums that can mop it detects objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).
It also has some outstanding notable features, like a self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can reach places that other mops don't. You can also adjust the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets, with high-pile rug. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't clean if you want to save time. It's a great choice for those who have a variety of flooring in your home but aren't looking to spend the extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy messes that are wet, this robot is an excellent option. It comes with a variety of features that include a self-emptying dustbin and a separate dock to refill water, and adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It is surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to remove knotted rug tassels and its battery drains slightly quicker than other models in our tests.
With a cost of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly machine that packs a lot of suction and a handy automation into a sleek design. It didn't perform as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however, it performed very well overall. It also comes with a range of cleaning modes to suit your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for lightweight debris to the more robust 'Turbo' mode that is ideal for carpeted rooms. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in small spaces. It's quick and quiet, and it can navigate tight spaces with ease. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent suction capacity and can be configured to take pictures of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys), and mark them in the app as 'not found' to ensure that they are not picked up again during future cleanings. The photos are encrypted and aren't tied to your account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, however it isn't as
good robot vacuum at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
