Many of the
Best robot vacuum cleaner UK models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the behavior of the S1.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to map the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one move. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or carpets.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if required.
This robot has an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good with a pair of spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship model of
robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is useful for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors and leaves a large space around obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.
The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will need a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to clean dust from corners, on shelves, and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more expensive S-series models, which include the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities and has a plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen in this price range even though it's not able to clean your floors. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also has a clever app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.

5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to. This device also is able to collect more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the expenses associated with using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
