The Canasta
The game of Canasta is a part of the Rummy family of card games, became a popular pastime in America during the 1950s. The aim of the game is to make melds (three cards or more of the same rank) and canastas (seven or more cards). The bigger the meld the more points you can earn. Wildcards are jokers and 2s. A meld must have at minimum two natural cards in order to be valid. The game is won by the first team to reach 5,001 points.
Canasta was created by Segundo Santos and Alberto Serrato in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1939, when they were playing cards with friends. They wanted to create a card game that was less time-consuming than Bridge and less dependent on chance than Rummy. They combined elements of the games Bridge, Rummy and Conquan to create Canasta which is a game that combines strategy with chance and luck.
Each player is dealt 13 cards, which are divided into two piles: the foot and the hand. Each player is required to meld a minimum of three cards into columns, known as sets. A set is comprised of three or more identical cards, such as four Kings or three Fives. Once a set is completed the player will discard one card from his hand to the discard pile. He can't take any cards back to his hands until the next turn.
The Chilada
A chilada consists of a tortilla which is wrapped around another food item, like vegetables or cheese. It is usually covered in sauce and topped with cheese. There are a variety of variations on this dish and the ingredients can be mixed and matched to create various recipes. The enchilada has a long history in Mexican cuisine, and the modern version can be made using either corn or flour tortillas.
The Chelada, or cerveza preparada is a refreshing beer drink that is authentically Mexican. Both include lime juice as well as a light beer and salt. The chilada is traditionally drunk without ice and instead served with a coarse rim of salt, which is often Tajin. It should be noted that the chelada can be described as a variant of the michelada and does not include tomato juice, clam juice, or any salsas or sauces that belong to its relatives the Michelada, Clamato con Chelada and Ojo Rojo.
This moderately sized
large clay chiminea best chiminea offers a unique crossed honeycomb pattern on the bowl and stack and is available in softer hues. The chiminea comes in two pieces and includes a removable chimney stand and cover. The iron-colored decorative elements are enhanced to accent the base and stack of this model.
The Blue Tornado
Chimineas are more compact than outdoor fireplaces and can be moved around the patio according to the mood or the weather. Their wide bases taper into a chimney. They have unique features such as the honeycomb-like cross-shape on the bowl and stack. They also have the capacity to divert smoke away from your backyard and into the air.
The Blue Tornado, an ape-like superhero who appears on the show and has weather-related abilities, was first seen by Kaz and Oliver when they visited Mighty Med. He appears as tall man with blue clothing and the head of a tornado and can spin into a tornado-like trough at high speeds.
This action knocks your foes off their feet, then flings them and throws them in the air for a few moments. This is especially effective against Egg Pawns that are not protected and Egg Knights, as well as against characters with shields.
Blue Tornado can also be used to increase height when used against airborne enemies. Holding during or after the jump allows the participant to double jump. This can knock shields off enemies who are not wearing them. This is an excellent way to quickly remove larger enemies. The Blue Tornado is also useful to take out flying enemies since it can disrupt their flight patterns and make them easier for you to shoot down.
Honeycomb Honeycomb
Chimineas are an ideal option for outdoor spaces that aren't big enough for the size of a fireplace. Its wide base tapers into a narrow chimney, and some designs feature handcrafted detailing to elevate the appearance of your patio. Chimineas can add warmth and character to any backyard, no matter if it's a summer warm evening or on a cool fall day.
Honeycomb is a delightful wonder of nature produced by honeybees. It's a hexagonal structure comprised of beeswax, which is perfectly organized. It's also among the most useful elements of the hive. Today, honeycomb structures are used for many scientific and engineering applications.
The hive uses honeycomb for three purposes: as a nursery for bees that are starting out, a place to store pollen until it turns into "bee bread," and a long-term place for the hive's reserve of nectar. When a beehive has swarms it, the bees begin an entirely new hive, with a fresh honeycomb foundation.
Bees build honeycombs by vibrating their flight muscles to generate heat. This softens the beeswax plate they release from their abdominals. They then form the softened wax into cylinder shapes and connect them to adjacent cells on either side. This arrangement is highly constant, indicating that it's not just the result of blind physical forces, but rather a highly organized construction behavior pattern. It's also an exceptional example of convergent evolution - an instance in which a similar feature emerges independently in closely related species.
