Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Robot Vacuum DealsThis is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots couldn't do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank which means they can mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite
best cheap robot vacuum vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb and has very few misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It also features an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people but it can assist you in keeping the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the
best smart vacuum on the market - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only
robot vacuum I've used that has done an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.
But if you want to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic There are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and plenty of room for it to move around but.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
