Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday
robot floor cleaner Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.
Its design is a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base
automatic floor vacuum Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot Vacuums Robot (
energetic42.ru) of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It also features an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing
robot vacuum cleaner industrial vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as a mopping function for a low cost. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
