1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a great robot vacuum that comes with a range of innovative features that make it more easy to maintain than other models. Its automatic bin emptying is among the most useful features we've seen in the form of a robot and it is compatible with hard floors as well as carpets. It's also easy to install and use and the app will guide you step-by-step through the process. Its ability to resume the same place it left off during our tests is an additional impressive feature. It did this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before the battery was exhausted.
Contrary to other robovacs we tested, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it must be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7 can also utilize its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO cannot.
While the i3+ EVO is more effective in removing debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at however, it's not the most effective for cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it pushed chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the bed.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your robot vacuum collection or just starting out. It packs a lot of power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a sleek design at an affordable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and even beats some of Roborock's more expensive models in many ways.

This robot is great at cleaning floors that are bare and its avoidance technology assists it in staying clear of furniture legs or other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores a high score in our navigation tests. It's only downside is that it's more noisy than other models, and doesn't perform better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, which means that you won't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute running time is also generous when contrasted with other 2-in-1 robots we tested. When the battery is running low, it returns automatically to its dock where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it was when it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This along with other advancements has helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. It allows you to plan cleaning schedules, create no-go zones, and view the battery's condition, among other things. The app is easy to use, even though it doesn't support Apple HomeKit; that feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to note that this feature is delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit, but many of them work with Siri Shortcuts.
3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus
The TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus robot vacuum cleaner is a fantastic option if you're searching for a machine that can also mop and is priced reasonably. It is stylish in design and a lot of impressive features for its price. You can control it using the buttons on the device through the app or even using voice commands. The device has a long battery life and the vacuum container can be automatically empty.
The TP-Link RV30 Plus does a great job at vacuuming standard messes and is suitable for light mopping on hard floors. It comes with a new sweeping brush and mopping cloth, as well as an HEPA-filter. It also has a spot cleaning mode that lets you to clean or mop the specific part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a particular route. This is a great option if you have narrow hallways or stairs. It was capable of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning review, but it struggled with higher pile carpets and rugs. It is also able to automatically raise the mop pad once it comes into contact with carpet, which is a great feature if you want to not mop your carpets.

The iMop is more easy to maintain and clean than a typical
robot cleaner, which could be an important selling point for busy families.
The iMop's smartphone app is simple to use and packed with configuration options. It comes with different suction settings, mopping settings and scheduling. It lets you create virtual walls, no-go zones and other limitations to ensure that the robot doesn't wander into areas that aren't safe for it. In addition, the application provides access to your iMop's status as well as errors messages.
