1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

Its design is also superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not do this. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaner best cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best robot hoover choice. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area which many robot vacuums fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be accomplished without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the best roborock vacuum on the market however it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require this.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.

While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just snap on one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The most important aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has some flaws. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
