World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Upgrades to items allow players to boost an item upgrader mod's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't change much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a good aspect, but it may also have negative effects. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms this will increase its defense base while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 33% attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button that has arrows that circle in the menu for items. The item upgrader mod will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge differences in your ability to endure. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you can get from each point of health therefore it is important to improve your armor as often as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Trinkets can be upgraded once they're not needed, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other gear items that they won't replace soon (for instance rings or cloaks). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

After they've become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade can cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying the new one.
