However, levers don't create energy. Levers multiply the force by making small amounts of effort applied over a longer distance into larger amounts of force that are applied over shorter distances. This is what allows you to accomplish more in a shorter period of time, and it is the reason why levers are frequently employed to lift heavy objects or moving large quantities of cargo. This type of operation requires that the internal lever handle and the external pad handle both be fitted to the same lock case. This could be a straightforward replacement of the current uPVC handle, but it could also require a lock case change or a new set of handles to handle furniture.
